The Texas Professional Photographers Association is the largest state affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America with over 1200 top photographers in Texas and over 40 other states around the country.

Founded in 1898, TPPA has served as the voice of professional photographers and photographic enthusiasts and has set the standards for photographic education for generations.

The Texas School of Professional Photography is a week-long event held each year at the end of April with dozens of classes taught by top instructors from around the country, with classes from beginner to advanced. It is the largest and MOST FUN of any school of its type. The 2020 edition of Texas School is April 26-May 1. Registration begins at exactly 11PM on January 3rd, 2020.

The I Heart Photography Conference and Expo is our annual regional photographic extravaganza with workshops, a trade show and lots of hands-on opportunities for photographing and trying out the latest in photographic gear. Photographers come from across the south to attend this exciting event. It will be held at the Grapevine Convention Center, October 16-18, 2020 in Grapevine, Texas.

“TPPA Events” is a series of year-round, hands-on workshops held throughout the state and beyond. TPPA members host and teach workshops on a variety of topics and for all skill levels.

We also feature member only webinars, road trips and hosted events throughout the year.

The Photographer is our award-winning magazine which reaches photographers across the southwest. It is loaded with how-to articles, color photographs and information on upcoming events and important topics of interest to photographers.
